Billboard erected by Knights of Columbus Council 1769 in Seneca | Kansans for Life/Twitter
Knights of Columbus chapters from across Kansas support the Value Them Both amendment.
“As Catholics and especially Knights, we are pro-life in that we regard all human life as sacred, from conception through natural death, in all stages and in every condition,” Knights of Columbus Leo Council 727, Emporia KS said in a recent Facebook post.
“It is because of this conviction, so integral to the very nature of the Christian faith, that the Knights of Columbus and Holy Mother Church boldly proclaim this truth. Abortion is evil, euthanasia is evil and the death penalty is evil. We stand for life. And this is why we are so committed to working to see the Value Them Both amendment passed in Kansas."
The Emporia group is just one of many to support the amendment to the Kansas Constitution.
The Knights of Columbus Council 1769 in Seneca went big with their show of support, erecting two large signs in November.
“The Knights of Columbus Council 1769 in Seneca displayed two eye-catching VALUE THEM BOTH billboards along well-traveled roads in their area," Kansans for Life posted on Twitter. "This billboard shares the amendment with travelers along Highway 36. Thank you, KoC in Topeka and Seneca, and Greg, for sharing this pic!”
The Sacred Heart Knights at Our Lady of Unity Parish in Kansas City also recently held an open invite session to discuss the amendment.
The group’s session was held after 10 a.m. Mass at Sacred Heart on June 26. Participants were treated to coffee and donuts.
“Please join us for fellowship and to learn about the Value Them Both amendment coming up to vote on in the primaries August 2nd,” the group posted on Facebook.
Members from Knights of Columbus Council 723 in Atchison also recently got in on the action.
“A number of Brother Knights and parishioners learned about the Value Them Both amendment last Saturday," the group said in a Facebook post. "Check out valuethemboth.com for more information, including the actual text of the amendment."
St. Joseph - Conway Springs Knights of Columbus offered free signs to those interested in getting involved.
“We have Value Them Both signs available in church to take home after all 3 masses this weekend,” the group said on Facebook.
Those are just a few of the Knights of Columbus chapters across the state of Kansas doing their part to bring the message about Value Them Both to communities of faith.
