The Rev. Chris Michelson urged parishioners to donate so that the church can purchase food basket supplies, according to a church bulletin for St. Albert the Great Parish in Knoxville, Tennessee.

"As we remember this feast day, let us also remember we are all called to do our part each day to build God’s Kingdom by offering our individual and unique gifts," Michelson wrote.

Michelson wrote that the church was collecting Ingle gift cards to purchase supplies for food baskets.

"You usually provide us with $4,000 to $5,000 of gifts to help the Mountain Arts Program, Pregnancy Help Center, as well as local and parish families," he wrote. "This year we are asking you to donate through the collection to fund these projects."

Michelson also reminded parishioners to help through donations to Catholic schools and to purchase raffle tickets from the school.

"I know what my Catholic Education has meant to my life-long journey, so I ask and encourage everyone to support this important cause," Michelson wrote in the bulletin.
