Construction of the new church for St. Matthias the Apostle Catholic Church in Magnolia, Texas is coming along nicely, according to the Oct. 13 bulletin.

“As of early October, our contractor, Westfall, is making good progress on our new church,” the bulletin said. “They are close to completing the roof decking, and exterior walls and beginning to install the roof shingles. They are putting dry wall in the A/V and electrical closets. They are beginning to install the duct work and electrical conduit.”

A fundraising drive for the new church fell short of the full amount needed so the the parish “will be taking on a sizable monthly payments,” the bulletin said.

“If you are still making payments on a pledge, please continue to do so until fulfilled,” the bulletin stated. “Any additional gifts to our campaign will also be appreciated.”

Sponsorships for stained glass windows are also available, the bulletin said.
