Christine Sun said it’s time to join Unite Our Nation and guide America back to what she believes to be its original path. Sun is helping to organize a Eucharist procession and rosary rally in Omaha, Nebraska on Sunday, Oct. 11, as the movement continues to grow across the country.
“We have far too long publicly revolted against God’s laws given to us for our own peace and harmony with Him and all of humanity,” she told American Catholic Tribune. “The time has come for Catholics to bring the true presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, along with the powerful weapon of the rosary, out into the public square to witness to all of humanity, the Kingship of Christ, where true peace, order, and justice are served.”
Sun said a very real battle is underway. It’s evident to her in the distress and disarray in the nation today.
“Sincere Catholics recognize the need for coming together in these times where much prayers and sacrifices are needed as we face an overwhelming barrage of evil in so many sectors of our society,” she said. “Where purity and innocence, once held as a model for society in times past, we see the opposite today where good is bad and bad is good. The wave of impurity and licentiousness has been given the upper hand by many leaders who no longer acknowledge God in the Holy Trinity as the source of all goodness and truth, that we are now our own gods, and we can now make our own 'laws', that we can now decide for ourselves, regardless of the natural order of things given to us by God, whatever we subscribe to as the popular notion of the day. Rebellion has been given license by rebellious leaders.”
As some public demonstrations turn into riots in the streets and deep political divisions continue, Sun detects a powerful hand behind the strife and misery.
“What we have exhibited and what we can rightfully observe in our society, are the hallmarks of the enemy Satan, where division, chaos, and disorder reign supreme in our homes and on the streets. It is only through the restoration of the Kingship of Christ, where unity, peace, and order will be restored,” she said. “It primarily begins with each of our individual selves returning back to God our Creator, who loves each of us immensely, which will lead the rest of our faculties to observe in fidelity, the order of our lives according to God. Where we recognize the value of life from conception to natural death, regardless of race, and acknowledging that the soul has no color.”
The acceptance of abortion in America today is evidence to her of the evil on the loose.
“Every life is precious to God and must be defended,” Sun said. “The loss of respect for life and the destruction of innocent lives in the womb is the root cause and the fuel that gives Satan his destructive reign over the world for it is human sacrifice, as in the old pagan days, which has come upon us one again.
“We call upon all Catholics to return in fidelity to the magisterial teachings of our Holy Mother Church, to receive the Sacraments frequently and to strive to remain in the state of grace, to muster up the courage and to step into the breach,” she said. “Our silence has caused much evil to proliferate. We must decide to serve the Lord in this spiritual battle that everyone are called to fight in. All are called to choose sides now. Either we are for or against God. There is no middle ground.”
Sun hopes Catholics – and others who are curious and want to participate or observe this peaceful, politically neutral prayer event – will take part.
“We invite all to join us in a peaceful, prayerful Eucharistic procession and Rosary, with Unite Omaha Nebraska, on Oct. 11 at 3 p.m., at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church on 6116 Dodge St.,” she said. “Priests will lead us at the start with the Divine Mercy Chaplet at 3 p.m., the Hour of Mercy, followed by the rosary as we process through Memorial Park and ending with benediction at the conclusion at the church. Those who are unable to process are invited to pray in the church or at the park with us. The route is approximately 1.5 miles and is approximately 1 1/2 hours at completion.”
