The Canon Law Society of America (CLSA) is hosting a webinar series to discuss penal law starting later this month.

The fist episode, to be held at 2:00 p.m. EDT on Jul 23, will introduce the topic of penal law and its process in the Roman Catholic Church. The content is designed to give historical background and explain the important topics in the Church's penal process.

Later episodes will dive deeper into those topics.

The Rev. Fred Easton will be the webinar's presenter. Now retired, Easton has served in various capacities as a priest for 45 years.

He's been a member of the CSLA and won the society's Role of Law Award. Easton studied the penal process and law at the Catholic University of America and in Rome.

Non-members who wish to attend the webinar can register online for $20, and CLSA members can use a discount code to join the series for free.
