The Knights of Columbus in Los Angeles County recently hosted a series of blood drives in an effort to help the American Red Cross collect much-needed donations.

"During this time of need, our medical professionals are still very desperately looking for resources like blood and the Knights of Columbus came together to put this blood drive on," Knights of Columbus Council 10140 member Issac Cuevas stated in a video posted on the group's Facebook page. "From the beginning, the Knights were there to answer the call."

Diana Boyd with the American Red Cross said the Knights of Columbus' support has been especially important during this time of low blood supplies. 

"I really value the partnership with the Knights of Columbus," Boyd said in the video. "They have been a very supportive group to ensure our blood drive program is really successful and especially during these times."
