Students in Iona University’s Criminal Justice Club recently visited Washington, D.C., where they delved into the inner workings of the nation's capital. Led by club president Connor Murray '25 and faculty advisor Dr. Tyron Pope, the group explored key institutions such as the United States Supreme Court and Capitol building, receiving a warm welcome from the Capitol Police.

"The Criminal Justice Club is excited to continue providing future professionals with educational opportunities and experiences they will remember for a lifetime," Murray expressed.

During their time in Washington, students also had the opportunity to visit cultural landmarks like the Smithsonian National Museum of American History and the Smithsonian American Art Museum, enhancing their understanding of the historical and artistic significance of the city.

Looking ahead, the club aims to offer more collaborative events for students interested in law and law enforcement. "Learn outside the lines" is the motto, and all members of the Iona community are encouraged to participate.
