Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez | Archdiocese of Philedelphia
Bishop Keith J. Chylinski, Auxiliary Bishop of Philadelphia and overseer of Catholic Education in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, will visit Cardinal O’Hara High School in Springfield, Delaware County, on October 20, 2025. He will celebrate Mass for the school community, with Reverend August Taglianetti, Campus Minister, as concelebrant.
Students from Cardinal O’Hara High School will participate as readers, altar servers, presenters of offertory gifts, and provide music during the Mass.
After the service, school leadership will be joined by representatives from the Ambassador’s Fund for Catholic Education—including Andrew McCloskey, President; Megan Famular, Director of Grants Management; and Steven Clement, Chief Administrative Officer for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia Office of Catholic Education—to formally open and dedicate the new Saint Rita of Cascia Mind, Heart, & Spirit Wellness Center. Bishop Chylinski will offer a blessing before a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the center.
The new wellness center was funded by a grant from the Ambassador’s Fund for Catholic Education. This charitable organization is the successor to the Archdiocesan Education Fund and was established by Matthew H. McCloskey, Jr., a building contractor and former U.S. Ambassador to Ireland.
Bishop Chylinski is also scheduled to meet with students and tour the high school during his visit.
Cardinal O’Hara High School describes its mission as developing graduates who are prepared to lead in this world and live forever in the next. The school emphasizes education, spiritual formation, and leadership development among young people. More information about Cardinal O’Hara High School can be found at cohs.com/.
