Walsh University has selected two outstanding individuals from the Class of 2024 to receive prestigious honors. Hannah Olszewski has been awarded the T.O.W.E.R. of Excellence Award, while Natalie Yoder has been honored with the Outstanding Student Award.

Hannah Olszewski, who will be graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in May 2024, was described as a shining star among her peers, demonstrating exceptional dedication to her studies and earning recognition on the Dean's List consistently throughout her time at Walsh University. Her leadership and compassion were evident in various roles on campus, culminating in her selection as the recipient of the T.O.W.E.R. of Excellence award. Hannah's commitment to service and community involvement, along with her spiritual growth, were highlighted as exemplary qualities that have shaped her into a true leader and role model.

Expressing gratitude for her time at Walsh University, Hannah reflected, “Looking back, I recognize that God was calling me to Walsh for a reason. The community of faculty, staff, and peers have fostered my development into a servant leader throughout campus and in my personal life."

On the other hand, Natalie Yoder, graduating summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Sociology, Family Studies, and a minor in Psychology, was lauded for her resilience, passion, and commitment to excellence. Her academic journey took a transformative turn towards forensics, leading her to pursue majors in Criminal Justice and Sociology. Natalie's dedication to scholarship and rigorous inquiry, along with her real-world experience through an internship, set her apart as a stellar student who excelled amidst the challenges of balancing multiple responsibilities.

Natalie shared, “This experience has shaped me to be a hard worker and to be persistent with my goals. There were many times along the way where I felt overwhelmed, and I did not know how I would be able to handle it all. However, I kept working toward my goals and persevered through the difficult times."

Both Hannah and Natalie's achievements reflect Walsh University's commitment to fostering academic excellence, leadership, and service among its students. As these exceptional individuals prepare to embark on the next chapters of their lives, they carry with them the values and skills instilled in them during their time at Walsh University.
