Amidst the snowy February landscape, Marian University's Alumni Hall was transformed into a vibrant summer oasis as families gathered for Marian's inaugural Summer Camps Fair. The event showcased a variety of summer activities tailored to keep school-aged children engaged during the upcoming break.

One of the highlights of the fair was the Marian University football camp, which generated excitement among attendees. A.J. Shaffer, a member of the Marian Knights football team, expressed the team's eagerness to provide mentorship and football skills to the young participants. Eleven-year-old Caden Jones from Avon, Indiana, shared his enthusiasm for the camp, stating, "I like playing football, so I'm excited to learn more from Marian's football players. When I grow up, I may want to play here."

Director of Marian’s K-12 Schools and Community programs, Crystal Owhoso-Maddox, emphasized the event's significance in strengthening Marian's bond with the community. She highlighted the sense of belonging and connection fostered during the fair, showcasing the opportunities available to K-12 students at Marian University.

The Summer Camps Fair also provided insight into Marian's educational offerings, with guided campus tours allowing families to explore the university's facilities and envision their children's future education paths.

Nicole Love Owen, a Marian alumna, praised the institution for its transformative impact and emphasized the importance of shaping children's futures through events like the Summer Camps Fair. Her son Christian shared his excitement for the camp, viewing it as a step towards a potential engineering career and applauding Marian's commitment to holistic education.

Fifteen-year-old Callie Johnson of Greenwood expressed her anticipation for the healthcare camp, seeing it as a glimpse into her potential future as a doctor.
