Catholic Charities of Philadelphia is organizing several Thanksgiving meal distributions across the Greater Philadelphia region to support individuals and families facing food insecurity.

Casa del Carmen Family Service Center will distribute 60 Thanksgiving dinner baskets to pre-selected community members and families in North Philadelphia. The event will take place on Friday, November 21, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the center’s location on Reese Street. Each basket contains turkey or turkey breast, canned goods, stuffing provided by Philabundance, and fresh produce supplied by Nutritional Development Services.

Saint John’s Hospice (SJH), in partnership with the Knights of Columbus Philadelphia Chapter, will provide early Thanksgiving meals to nearly 200 people experiencing homelessness. The meal service is scheduled for Sunday, November 23, 2025, from noon to 12:30 p.m. at SJH on Race Street. According to the release, "Members of the Knights of Columbus will visit SJH on Sunday to help the organization feed hot meals cooked fresh by SJH staff. Meals will include turkey, collard greens, sweet potatoes, and macaroni and cheese." The Knights of Columbus have been supporting this initiative since 1968.

Martha’s Choice Marketplace and Community Farm plans a two-day distribution event in Montgomery County to provide full Thanksgiving meals for approximately 1,000 registered families. The distributions are set for Monday and Tuesday, November 24-25, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at their Norristown location. Registered families will receive turkeys along with traditional side dishes such as stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, corn, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, dinner rolls, and pumpkin pie.

The programs aim to address ongoing food insecurity in the region by offering holiday meals through targeted outreach and collaboration with local partners.
