SDCCW offers $2,000 scholarships to Catholic female high school seniors in Springfield Diocese
The Springfield Diocesan Council of Catholic Women (SDCCW) announced on Mar. 24 that it is awarding four $2,000 scholarships to graduating female high school seniors from the Diocese of Springfield in Illinois. The scholarships are open to students who are homeschooled, attend Catholic or public schools, and who demonstrate the SDCCW mission while being practicing Catholics.
These scholarships aim to support young women pursuing vocational or college degrees and reflect the organization’s goal of empowering Catholic women through spirituality, leadership, and service. The SDCCW is affiliated with the National Council of Catholic Women.
Applicants must submit their materials by April 15. Required documents include a completed application with personal and educational details, a signed essay addressing leadership, faith, and service during high school years as well as future plans for these values—with both applicant’s and pastor’s signatures—and a letter of recommendation from an adult familiar with the candidate’s community involvement.
