Diaper bank gala on April 25 will support ministry facing urgent need

The St. Bernadette Diaper Bank announced on April 13 that it will hold its annual fundraising gala on April 25 at St. Bartholomew Church, as the ministry faces a critical shortage of diapers.
The diaper bank, which is an outreach ministry of St. Bernadette Church, distributes hundreds of thousands of diapers each year to 24 partner agencies, according to supporters. The event aims to raise funds needed for the continued operation of the diaper bank amid declining donations.
“Due to a severe shortage of donations, the diaper bank has been forced to scale back and is currently down to only newborn and size 1 diapers,” said the statement from supporters. “Without immediate support, this vital ministry may be unable to continue serving families in need.”
The fundraiser will take place at St. Bartholomew Church’s Magel Center located at 2040 Buechel Bank Road. The evening will feature live music by the Amber Martin Band, a silent auction, and a raffle. Doors open at 5 p.m., with dinner catered by 4 Pigs BBQ starting at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $40 and can be purchased or sponsored through stb2008.org/diaper-bank.
