Catholic Relief Services Collection set for March 14-15 in Louisville parishes

Parishes within the Archdiocese of Louisville will participate in the Catholic Relief Services Collection on March 14-15. The annual collection aims to provide emergency international assistance to victims of war and natural disasters, support migrants and refugees with housing, education, and legal aid, and offer pastoral care for those whose work requires special access to sacraments.
The collection benefits six Catholic agencies that assist vulnerable populations. These include Migration and Refugee Services, which focuses on refugee resettlement; the Secretariat of Justice and Peace, which works on advocacy efforts; and the Holy Father’s Relief Fund, which provides emergency relief.
A key initiative supported by this collection is an anti-human trafficking program managed by Migration and Refugee Services. This program addresses human trafficking through awareness campaigns, training sessions, and direct support for victims.
Archbishop Shelton J. Fabre emphasized the impact of these efforts: “Your support of the Catholic Relief Services Collection empowers and brings healing to communities affected by poverty and injustice here and around the world. I ask you to prayerfully consider how you can support the collection this year. To learn more about the collection and the people who benefit, please visit www.usccb.org/catholic-relief.”
He added his gratitude: “Thank you for your generous support of the Catholic Relief Services Collection. Please know that I remain,
Sincerely in the Lord,
Most Reverend Shelton J. Fabre
Archbishop of Louisville”
