Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez will lead the 5:00 p.m. Christmas Eve Vigil Mass at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Philadelphia on December 24, 2025. The Mass will also be streamed live on the Archdiocesan Vimeo page as well as on the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and Archbishop Pérez’s Facebook pages, beginning at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Music for this service will be provided by the Cathedral Basilica Schola and instrumentalists, and American Sign Language interpretation will be available via livestream.

The Cathedral Basilica is inviting Catholics from across its five-county region to celebrate Christmas at its central location in Philadelphia. Additional services are scheduled for both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

On December 24, a second Vigil Mass in English and Spanish is set for 7:30 p.m., featuring a cantor and organist. At 11:00 p.m., sacred music and carols performed by the Cathedral Basilica Choir and instrumentalists will precede Midnight Mass.

The Solemn Midnight Mass begins at 12:00 a.m. on December 25, with Reverend G. Dennis Gill serving as principal celebrant and homilist. This service, along with the noon Mass later that day, will also be streamed live through the same online platforms mentioned above.

Masses on Christmas Day include an early service at 8:00 a.m., accompanied by a cantor and organist; a 10:00 a.m. Mass with music from the Cathedral Basilica Schola; followed by the Solemn Noon Mass featuring choir and instrumentalists.

No evening mass is scheduled for Christmas Day.

Media outlets interested in covering services other than those being livestreamed are advised to contact the cathedral rectory directly.

A technical note indicates that an onsite audio-video multbox setup is available only for select masses—specifically, those held at 5:00 p.m., midnight, and noon—and media trucks can access these facilities via parking lot entry behind the cathedral.
