Archbishop Fabre and students lead Stations of the Cross at Calvary Cemetery

About 50 people gathered at Calvary Cemetery on March 20 to pray the Stations of the Cross with Archbishop Shelton J. Fabre and seventh-grade students from St. Francis of Assisi School.
The event, which took place among monuments and headstones, saw each student take turns leading a station alongside Archbishop Fabre. At the end of the prayer service, a group of girls performed “Amazing Grace” as a moment for reflection.
The Catholic Cemeteries Office organizes the Way of the Cross for Young Christians on Fridays during Lent. The final prayer service in this series is scheduled for Friday, March 27, at 1 p.m. at St. Michael Cemetery located at 1300 Ellison Avenue.
