Fr. Matthew Patrick Huber, born in Missoula, Montana, on April 1, 1959, passed away recently. He was the son of William Huber and Patricia Powers and grew up in Helena, where his father was on the faculty at Carroll College. Fr. Huber's dedication to his faith led him to attend Carroll College and the North American College in Vatican City, where he was ordained as a priest on June 5, 1987. Throughout his career, he was awarded a JCL from the Catholic University of America in 1993.

His ministry took him to various parishes, including St. Ann Parish in Butte, St. Rose Parish in Dillon, the Anaconda Catholic Community, Holy Family Parish in Missoula (now Blessed Trinity), and St. Mary Mission Parish in Stevensville. For the past few years, he resided with his sister, Stacy, receiving Hospice care.
