Additional 2024 Priest Assignments Announced

The Catholic Diocese has recently released a list of new clergy assignments for the upcoming year. Among the changes are the reassignments of several priests to different parishes and roles within the diocese.

According to The Catholic Times, Reverend Stash Dailey will be transitioning from Vice Rector of the College of Liberal Arts at Pontifical College Josephinum in Columbus to Pastor at St. Michael Church in Worthington, effective August 1, 2024.

Meanwhile, Reverend Brett R. Garland will be leaving his position as Pastor at St. Mary Church in Delaware to pursue graduate studies in Philosophy in Rome, Italy, starting on July 9, 2024.

Reverend Michael J. Lumpe will be moving from his role as Pastor at St. Michael Church in Worthington to Chaplain at Mother Angeline McCrory Manor and Villas at St. Therese in Columbus. He will also continue serving as Vicar for Senior and Infirm Priests and Vicar for Hospital Ministry, with the changes taking effect on August 1, 2024.

Additionally, Reverend Patrick Toner will be transitioning from Administrator at St. Catharine Church in Bexley to Administrator at St. Mary Church in Delaware, beginning on July 9, 2024.

The appointment of Reverend Lorenzo Uribe-Morales, CR, as Parochial Vicar at St. Joseph Church in Dover and Holy Trinity Church in Zoar, has also been confirmed. Reverend Uribe-Morales, who previously served outside of the Diocese, will be starting his new role on July 1, 2024.

These changes in priest assignments reflect the ongoing efforts of the Catholic Diocese to best serve the needs of its parishes and communities, ensuring that clergy members are placed where their skills and expertise can have the greatest impact.
