The Diocese of Brooklyn is in mourning following the passing of Reverend Richard Zuk, a dedicated priest who served the community with unwavering commitment. The announcement of Father Zuk's death was made by the Most Reverend Robert J. Brennan, Bishop of Brooklyn, who expressed his sorrow, stating, "Most Reverend Robert J. Brennan, Bishop of Brooklyn, regrets to inform you of the death of Reverend Richard Zuk."

Father Zuk's selfless service and spiritual guidance touched the lives of many, prompting a call for support and remembrance. As the community grieves this significant loss, they are urged to "Please pray for the repose of his soul and for the consolation of his family and friends."

In the wake of Father Zuk's passing, Reverend Monsignor Steven J. Aguggia, J.C.L. Chancellor and Vicar for Canonical Affairs, shared details of the arrangements for those wishing to pay their respects. The wake is scheduled to take place at Michael’s Funeral Home Inc., followed by a vigil at Holy Trinity R.C. Church and a funeral service at Immaculate Conception Center. The burial will then be held at Saint John Cemetery.

Father Zuk's impactful legacy includes his service as a Prison Chaplain at various correctional facilities, reflecting his dedication to offering spiritual comfort to those in need. His extensive service within the Diocese of Brooklyn, including his roles as Administrator and Parochial Vicar at multiple parishes, exemplifies his profound commitment to his vocation.
